Don’t get me wrong, social features are really good.
But when its actually meant to BE what it is, not just a mask for DRM.
Because if consumers have learned anything from the SC scandal, its that when its just a mask, the features end up not working to expectations, and not delivering for the price they’ll probably sell the game for.
So uh, I wish I could read this.
I don’t know what to feel about this nor react. Idek guys. I’m not sure if I wanna cry or not.
So just to help you guys out - I zoomed in and the first tab next to the Name area and age and stuff says - “Middle Names” The second one says - “Species” The third one says “Young Elder” and the fourth says “Height Slider” (Yes, I’m sure.) The guy has SIX traits, the town is called “Simoleon Strip”. There is a “Jobs and Careers” section where (it looks) you can choose to be in the dancer, actor, entertainer, and medicine career tracks. Some icons are under that but I’m not sure what they are. There is an “Online Gameplay” section that I can’t read and a “Town Edit Features” section that I can’t read. Now that I look at it, it looks like you can actually choose between three trait sets of two traits. The one says (Something I can’t read) & Bossy, The second says Funny (I think) & (Something I can’t read) And the third set of two says (Something I can’t read) & Greedy And there’s a “Welcome to The Sims 4!” Thing at the top, etc, etc.

Following the SimCity scandal, I have no doubt the “online gameplay” is just another always-on DRM masquerading as being necessary.
It even sounds similar to the social features it describes.
So I’m already scared.
